Classroom Smartboard not Working

Issue:

Smart Board not working.

Resolution:

  1. No Touch Response or Erratic Behavior:

    • First, reset the interactive whiteboard by disconnecting and then reconnecting the power cable. You can find the power cable connection beneath the pen tray or pen ledge.
    • Verify that the interactive whiteboard has a direct USB connection to the computer (with a USB cable no longer than 16 feet).
    • Check that the indicator light on the controller (located at the bottom-center, visible from beneath the pen tray) is solid green.
    • Clean the retroreflective frames and cameras using a lint-free cloth.

  2. Connectivity Problems:

    • If you can’t establish a connection between the computer and the interactive whiteboard:
      • Securely connect the USB cable between the computer and the interactive whiteboard controller (DSP).
      • Try connecting the USB cable to a different USB receptacle on the computer.
