Phones & Extensions

The ITS department provides a variety of phone and extension services to support faculty and staff across different use cases. Most users are provisioned with an assigned extension, enabling them to place and receive calls as well as access voicemail messages. Please see the Software & Applications category for assistance with Jabber.

A phone support request may include, but is not limited to:

  • New phone setup
  • Assigning or reassigning phone numbers and extensions.
  • Physical phone moves
  • Call routing support

If users experience issues with existing phone services, they can report a phone issue to report problems such as:

  • Power supply issues
  • Lack of dial tone
  • Difficulties with outbound or inbound calls
  • General malfunctions of hardware or equipment.
