What are the current password requirements?
- Passwords may not contain the user's account name or full name.
- Passwords/passphrases must have a minimum length of 12 characters.
- Passwords/passphrases must be different from the previous 4 passwords/passphrases.
- Passwords/passphrases must contain 3 the following:
- Uppercase letters
- Lowercase letters
- Numbers (0-9)
- Special character.
How often do I need to reset my password?
The ITS department enforces a password reset at least once every 365 days.
What should I do if I receive a password change notification I didn’t initiate?
If ITS did not initiate the password change, contact the ITS department as soon as possible at (503) 594-3500. Unrequested password changes can be a sign of unauthorized account access.
