ITS is moving single sign-on (SSO) to Microsoft Entra, Microsoft's cloud-based identity service. This changes how you sign in to Microsoft 365 applications in a web browser, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, and internal college applications already moved to Entra.
Your college email address and password will stay the same. There is no software to install or password to reset for this change.
What is changing?
Sign-ins for these applications will use Microsoft Entra instead of our college-hosted sign-in system. Internal applications that have not moved to Entra will continue to use their current sign-in page.
The screenshots below are examples. Your screens may vary by browser, operating system, and whether you are already signed in.
Current sign-in examples
Microsoft 365 sign-in
You may see a gray pop-up box showing sts.clackamas.edu, with fields for your username and password.

College application sign-in
You may recognize this CCC-branded page when opening an internal college application. Applications that have not moved to Entra will continue to use their current sign-in page after the Microsoft 365 update.

After the change: Microsoft sign-in
For Microsoft 365 web applications and internal applications already moved to Entra, the example below shows the Microsoft password page after you enter your college email address.

What is staying the same?
- Your college email address and password. No change.
- Multi-factor authentication (MFA). You will continue to complete verification when prompted. You do not need to set it up again for this change.
- How you get to your applications. Same links, same workflow.
What do I need to do?
No advance action is needed. Keep opening your applications as usual.
- If asked to sign in, enter your full college email address.
- Enter your usual password when prompted.
- Complete any verification prompt as you normally would.
If you are already signed in, you may not see the new screen until you are asked to sign in again.
