Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's):

Do I need to bring my device to ITS, or can support be provided remotely?

ITS does have the option to remotely access computers depending on the issue. Any physical damage or issues such as broken hinges or cracked screens will require in-person support. For those with physcial desktop issues, please include your location in the ticket to make it easier for one of our technicians to locate the device.

Can ITS support my personal computer or device?

Our technicians are most experienced with CCC-issued devices and peripherals and cannot guarantee full support for personal devices. Limited assistance for personal devices may include password help, support with installing approved software, and correcting system access issues.

My CCC issued laptop battery isn't charging or holding a charge - what are my options?

Depending on the device model, warranty status, and age, ITS may replace the battery or provide the employee with a replacement device.

Can I request a replacement keyboard, mouse or monitor?

Employees may request replacement peripherals; however, limited availability requires that priority be given to those with damaged or malfunctioning equipment. Standard keyboards and mice are always available at no cost to the employee.

What are my support options if my computer is running slowly?

ITS can assist with removing unused files and programs that often slow down devices. To help maintain optimal performance, ITS recommends deleting old downloads and temporary files you no longer need and saving work files to your approved cloud storage instead.
