Is it required to sign in to the podium with my staff email account?
Yes, instructors should log in to podiums using their CCC-issued staff account. Generic or unprotected accounts should not be used on staff devices to prevent unauthorized access to the staff only domain.
Can I connect my laptop to the classroom system?
Most classroom podiums support direct connections via HDMI. If you need help or aren’t sure whether your podium has this feature, please contact the ITS Service Desk at (503) 594-3500.
How do I request software for a lab/student computers?
Use the "Other Software & Applications" service under the Software & Applications category and select the appropriate device. Please include the software information and the installation details.
Can students save work on lab computers?
Most lab computers are configured not to retain files locally for long periods, as the devices are shared by multiple users. Students are encouraged to save their work to cloud storage, a USB drive, or email files to themselves.
