MacOS Global Protect VPN Download and Installation

 

***Before attempting to set up the VPN client, please make sure you have completed a TDX ITS request for this service. Navigate to:

https://clackamas.teamdynamix.com/TDClient/1853/Portal/Home/

Select Information Technology/Submit an ITS Ticket/Firewall (under services). Complete the request, including “Mac VPN Access” in the short description and a business justification of the service in the Description field.

(Use the Mac OS credentials here, not your CCC login information)

 

Using the Global Protect VPN client for MacOS

(Your CCC user name/password would be used in the step above)

 

Mapping a Network Shared Drive in MacOS

To Map a network drive in MacOS, locate and click the Go button in the menu bar and select Connect to Server.

Next, in the Connect to Server dialog box, enter the path of the drive you wish to map.

(The graphic above shows the most common paths)

In the next box, enter your CCC user name and password that is used to log in to your email account.

Press control + click on any network attached storage on your desktop, and click Make Alias.

Rename the shared public drive to something that makes sense to you and you will remember. After connecting to the Global Protect VPN client going forward, the shared drive can be reconnected by simply clicking on the desktop shortcut you just created.
