Retrieve your MAC address from an Apple device

Identify the Media Control Address (MAC) on an Apple Mac device:

The following instructions provide guidance on how to identify the Wi-Fi MAC address on Apple Mac devices. The provided screenshots are provided as examples and your screens may differ based upon the particular version of the Apple operating system being used.

 

Find Wi-Fi MAC

  1. Click the Wi-Fi icon from the menu bar located at the top of the screen to expand the Wi-Fi menu and then select the ‘Wi-Fi Settings…’ option

 

 

 

  1. In the ‘Wi-Fi’ screen click the ‘Details…’ button

 

 

  1. In the ‘Details’ screen click on the ‘Hardware’ option in the left side menu

 

 

  1. In the ‘Hardware’ screen locate the ‘MAC address’ item and note the value listed to the right, in this example c8:89:f3:cc:cc:cc
