Accessing a calendar that was shared to you

When one of your peers shares an Outlook calendar to you, you will receive an email to accept the calendar. If you did not get the email, please contact the owner of the calendar to check your permissions to it.

In the top left, you will get either the option to Open this calendar or Accept it. This will add it to your outlook account. It will look something like this:

If you get any error messages such as "Operation Error", "Incorrect permissions...", etc. You may need to accept the calendar through the web version of your email.

Open MyClackamas and go to your staff email. You should see the same email that you received with the invite to the calendar. It is very likely that it will look slightly different. This one should have an Accept button built onto the email body.

When you click accept, it will then add it to your Outlook calendars. On the web version of Outlook, shared calendars are stored under People's calendars. This is a separate folder from all of your calendars that you have made yourself.

When you accepted the calendar, it should automatically be added to your desktop version of Outlook as well. You may need to restart Outlook to get it to come up. It will live under the Shared Calendars folder. It is important to remember that any calendars shared to you will live under this folder only!

You will then be able to view and/or edit the calendar's content as needed. This is entirely based on what permissions the owner of the calendar has granted to you.
