Accessing the Junk Email Folder

Open the Outlook Desktop application.

In the folder pane on the left, locate and click on the Junk Email folder.
Identifying and Marking Legitimate Emails as Safe

Browse through the emails in the Junk Email folder.

When you find a legitimate email, right-click on it.

In the context menu, hover over Junk and select Not Junk [1].

A dialog box will appear asking if you want to always trust emails from this sender. Check the box if desired.

Click OK to move the email to your inbox.
Adding a Sender to the Safe Senders List

On the Home tab, click Junk and select Junk E-mail Options [7].

Go to the Safe Senders tab.

Click Add and enter the email address or domain you want to mark as safe [2].

Click OK, and then Apply to save your changes.

Sign in to your Outlook account at www.office.com [6].

In the folder pane on the left, click on the Junk Email folder.

Review the emails in the Junk Email folder.

When you find a legitimate email, select it.

At the top of the message list, click Not Junk [1].

The email will be moved to your inbox.
Adding a Sender to the Safe Senders List

Click the gear icon in the upper right corner to open Settings [6].

Click View all Outlook settings at the bottom of the settings pane.

Navigate to Mail > Junk email.

Under Safe senders and domains, click Add [5].

Enter the email address or domain you want to mark as safe.

Press Enter or click the Add icon.

Click Save at the bottom of the page.

Regularly review your Junk Email folder to ensure no important messages are missed [4].

Consider enabling the option to Automatically add people I email to the Safe Senders List in Outlook Desktop for convenience [7].

Keep in mind that your organization may have server-side junk email filtering that could block messages before they reach your mailbox [5].
